Vivendi Entertainment is happy to announce that Mediaset Spain, after the production of pilots in June to test different hosts, has now commissioned a first series of GUESS MY AGE for a daily version to air on CUATRO starting soon, in the afternoon.
The local treatment, entitled EL CONCURSO DEL AÑO and co-produced by BulldogTV and Mediaset, will be hosted by Dani Martínez. The adaptation marks the 13th country where the show will be on air, with over 685 episodes commissioned globally, including Italy for example, where the show will come back as a daily after the summer holidays on TV8 (Sky) for a second season, after a first which shook the ratings in the country: the channel has doubled its market share in the slot to lead undisputedly against BOOM and TAKE MY OUT on rival channels.
Matthieu Porte says: “We’ve launched Guess My Age thinking this format will be a great fit for daily slots. The success in Italy on Sky’s TV8, but also in France, Slovakia and in Hungary confirmed this strategy and we are delighted Mediaset and Bulldog believe in it as well for Spain. Our next target is to reach the 1000-episode mark.”
