CAN’T STOP media announces that Starlight Media, the largest Ukrainian media group, has ordered a local adaptation of factual format “Breaking News – Live from History” to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day.
The 50-minute special will air on ICTV this Saturday 24 August at 22:00.
Entitled “Independence: Live” (“Незалежність в прямому ефірі”, [Nezalezhnist v priamomu efiri]), the show will relate the day when Ukrainian independence was declared in 1991 as if today’s 24/7 news channels had covered the event in real time.
It is adapted from the hit factual show created by French iconic TV host Thierry Ardisson and R&G for France 2 in order to celebrate D-Day 80th anniversary in June.
On ICTV’s actual news set, the channel’s two most popular anchormen will launch a Special Edition about the event that is supposedly taking place. The show features a wide range of content, in strict compliance with historical facts: live reports with correspondents, interviews in studio or video, infographics, colorized archives reports, re-enactment…
All the protagonists (but the experts) are part of the channel’s news desk: anchorman, editors, correspondents, infographics journalists…
